Free Shuttles in Toronto - Yes, Free

If you've been reading my blog in the past, you know that I've been lobbying/pushing (somewhat selfishly) for a free shuttle service between my workplace and the subway station - because let's be honest, free is good, and a shuttle bus has a lot less stops than any public transit does.

During my "research" and "intensive searching" into other options, I came across many free services offered to all of us throughout the GTA - some of them pretty useful, some of them...not so much, but either way, I figured I'd put them all in one place for you to know where to find them. If you ever need to travel between these two points, and the timing is right, chances are, you'll get there much quicker this way...enjoy.

This shuttle runs 7 days a week and is wheelchair accessible. This is great if you're ever going to an event at the Brickworks like the Toronto Underground Market, or the Farmer's Markets. Also great if you want to hike or bike in the area, but want a faster way home. The schedule and details can be found here.
This shuttle only runs through the spring and summer months (until September 30th), but can definitely be useful if you want to do some summer or back to school shopping somewhere other than the Eaton Centre - also great if you're going camping, because the huge Bass Pro Shop is there, and they have EVERYTHING you'll need. It only runs a couple times a day, but that's okay because it takes you that long to peruse the whole mall anyway. Details can be found here.
Oh Ikea, how I love you. Ikea operates shuttle busses from both of their Toronto Stores - in Etobicoke and North York, to their closest subway stations (Kipling and Leslie respectively). Great if you like Ikea, but don't want to drive through some of the busiest areas. Schedules and details for the Etobicoke shuttle can be found here and for the North York store here.
A relatively short route - but if you're travelling in the downtown core and don't want to wait for the streetcar or subway - this one is free too...or you know, if you're actually at the hospital. There are some other stops as well. Details and schedule are here.
Alright, maybe the least useful, since you might not fly porter all that much, but if you're meeting someone at the airport, or dropping them off, at least you know you can do it for free with the help of this free service. The pick-up point is close enough to Union that you can connect to the Subway. Details are here.

Hope some of these helped!

Cheers
